As founder of Urban World Matters, Natalia Uribe has championed regenerative urban futures, focusing on inclusive local leadership, youth engagement and systemic approaches to city development.
In her new role, she will contribute to the expansion of BDP’s ‘The Good City’ initiative, focusing the consultancy’s work developing city scale masterplans, guiding strategic urban frameworks, large-scale regeneration programmes and interdisciplinary planning projects.
Of her appointment, Natalia Uribe said: “Cities are good for us, at least they can and should be. They have the potential to be good for economic growth, for our quality of life and wellbeing, for arts and culture and for the environment. I am excited to bring together all the knowledge and experience within BDP to help design places for a global community. Places that respond to the world’s social, environmental and economic challenges and create real opportunities for communities to thrive. Building meaningful, inclusive and resilient urban futures is not an option, it’s our responsibility.”
