Thomas Faulkner joins Galliford Try on 15th  September 2025 to succeed Mark Baxter, executive board member and divisional managing director of Specialist Services, who is retiring at the end of December 2026 after 27 years with the business.

Faulkner is a chartered civil engineer with 30 years of experience in construction. He recently spent 10 years as UK executive vice president at Skanska, before stepping down last January, and has a strong background in the infrastructure sector, covering water, environment, highway, rail and specialist services. One of Faulkner’s mentors early in his career with Skanska, in the days when it was Trafalgar House, was Bill Hocking, who is now chief executive of Galliford Try.

Hocking said: “We have carefully planned for Mark’s departure, which reflects his long-term plan to retire and thank him for his excellent contribution to Galliford Try over many years. We are pleased to welcome Thomas, with his broad experience, to Galliford Try and congratulate him on his appointment.”
