Legal proceedings follow an investigation by the Office for Nuclear Regulation

NNB Generation Company (HPC) Ltd (NNB GenCo), Bouygues Travaux Publics SAS and Laing O’Rourke Delivery Limited are facing charges relating to an incident that occurred on the Hinkley Point C site in Somerset on 13th November 2022.

Site supervisor Jason Waring, 48, died after sustaining fatal injuries in a what was reported as a traffic incident involving a construction vehicle on the site.

Contractors Bouygues Travaux Publics SAS and Laing O’Rourke Delivery Limited are the joint venture partners in Bylor JV, delivering the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C.

NNB GenCo is the principal contractor for the ongoing nuclear construction project.

The decision to begin legal proceedings follows an investigation by the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), the UK’s nuclear regulator.
