The historic brewery site, on the Hampshire-Dorset border, was put up for sale two years ago by Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company, which this year became Carlsberg Britvic. Having taken possession, Pennyfarthing Homes has completed the sub-sale of two warehouses on the site to Brighter Productions, an event production company, for its headquarters.
The 1.88-acre site includes over 36,000 sq ft of accommodation comprising former brewery buildings, warehouses, offices, tap room, shop, and car parking.

Pennyfarthing Homes executive chairman Mark Adams said: “We are proud to be breathing new life into an iconic local site that has been underutilised for several years. This redevelopment will not only provide Pennyfarthing with a new base that reflects our ambitions for the future, but it will also bring new jobs and energy to the local area. Ringwood is a thriving town in a prime location, and we look forward to being part of its future.”
David Bodily, property & facilities director at Carlsberg Britvic, said: “Ringwood Brewery has long been a part of the town’s history, and we are pleased that the site’s legacy can continue through this redevelopment by a local, family-owned and well-established business. We welcome Pennyfarthing’s plans to revitalise the site so that it contributes positively to the community and wish them every success as the site’s new owners.”
It is anticipated that work will start on the brewery in 2026, with the two businesses relocating following completion of the works.
