Hulme succeeds Bourne at Eric Wright Civils

Gavin Hulme takes over as managing director of Eric Wright Civil Engineering from Diane Bourne, who steps down after nearly 15 years in the post.

Hulme has almost 30 years’ experience in the civil engineering industry and has been with Eric Wright since 2000, and operations director since 2016.

Bourne, who has been with Eric Wright Group in 1995, will continue in her role as group technical director.

Gavin Hulme said: “Thanks to Diane’s leadership, the work of the board of directors and our dedicated staff, the company is in an excellent position with one of its strongest workloads supporting its growth ambitions. We aim to continue delivering high quality projects and have ambitious plans to develop existing client relationships and seek new clients where our particular skill set can bring added value. Recent projects have showcased our ability to deliver technically challenging work whilst being a trusted and collaborative partner for our clients. Our projects also continue to have positive impacts for local people and their communities.  We will continue to innovate and provide sustainable solutions along with continuing to focus on positive social value outcomes across all our projects.”

Group chief executive Jeremy Hartley said: “We are extremely pleased that Gavin is taking the lead role in our growing civil engineering division.
