Leeds-based transport planning consultant Andrew Moseley Associates (AMA) has opened an office in Newcastle.

Established in 2017, AMA’s clients include Aldi and McDonald’s, managing highways and transport matters for their new stores and restaurants across the UK.

It also supports house-builders and commercial developers with transport planning, flood risk assessments, drainage strategy and detailed design services.

AMA is already active in the northeast, as part of the project team for Arlington Real Estate and Homes England on a development north of Cramlington. It also helped Aldi get planning consent for a new supermarket in Durham, which is now under construction.

AMA’s Newcastle office is in the Haylofts business centre, which was once the stables for Newcastle Breweries.

Managing director Andrew Moseley said: “Opening our Newcastle office brings us even closer to the clients, communities, and projects we’re already proud to support across the northeast. This wider regional presence allows us to further enhance the high-quality service and planning success we’re known for, while also positioning us to grow our business and team as we build new relationships in this thriving part of the UK.”

Alongside Andrew Moseley himself, AMA’s Newcastle office will be led by Aaron Yesudian, senior flood risk & drainage engineer, and Jonathan Hazell, principal transport planner.  The plans is to build up the team over the next year.
