Turner & Townsend said that his appointment reflected the firm’s “continued strengthening of its programme advisory capability”.
Mahon’s experience includes advancing Ireland’s transmission system infrastructure portfolio to meet both climate targets and increasing demand, and developing offshore wind transmission strategy.
“I’m passionate about delivering infrastructure that meets the demands of energy transition and climate resilience,” Mahon said. “Turner & Townsend’s collaborative approach to programme advisory is a great fit for the challenges ahead and I look forward to working with our teams and clients to drive impact across the programmes we deliver.”
David Whysall, global managing director for energy and natural resources at Turner & Townsend, said: “Michael’s appointment strengthens our programme advisory leadership across both our energy and natural resources and infrastructure teams.
“His experience in delivering complex energy programmes and engaging with senior stakeholders will be invaluable as we continue to support clients in navigating the challenges of net zero, the energy transition and infrastructure resilience.”
