Phase one of the project will see construction on a serviced parcel of land at Holme Meadows, with a further 298 plots identified for delivery in future phases.
The development will follow a mixed-tenure model, comprising 65% private sale homes and 35% affordable housing.
A reserved matters planning application is under consideration, with a decision expected ‘shortly’, they say. If approved, construction is expected to start on site later this year.
Vistry Thames Valley managing director Trevor Wicks said: “This acquisition marks a pivotal step in our partnership with Kier Property, who share our ambition to bring this significant development to life with high-quality, mixed-tenure homes. We are committed to creating a sustainable community that meets local needs and supports the wider infrastructure strategy for South Wokingham.”
Kier Property managing director Leigh Thomas said: “South Wokingham is our third scheme with Vistry and is a key location that offers a unique chance to deliver a thriving, well-connected and sustainable community that complements the overarching masterplan.”
