VolkerFitzpatrick has started work on the construction of five new units at Symmetry Park in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, totalling more than 827,000 sq ft.

The project is targeting a BREEAM Outstanding rating and an EPC of A+.

The industrial units will range in size from 65,847 to 287,200 sq ft, each with integrated office space, with the overall scheme supported by extensive external works including service yards, car parking, drainage, landscaping and incoming services. Bakery brand Warburtons has been confirmed as the first occupier of the development.

Stuart Deverill, managing director of VolkerFitzpatrick’s Building division, said: “This project is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our expertise in delivering sustainable, large-scale industrial developments.”
